Atlantic Aero receives Brazilian Validation (ANAC) of FAA STC IO550 engine conversion for the Cessna 206, 210 and the Bonanza.
Atlantic Aero completes the 50th 7 piece cabinet shipset for one of the world's top selling turbine aircraft.

2009

Atlantic Aero Engineering approved for Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) Organizational Designated Authorization (ODA).

2008

The Kernersville Manufacture Facility is awarded ISO9001:2000 + AS9100B and relocated to a 30,000 sq ft climate controlled building.

2007

Atlantic Aero is purchased by Greenwich AeroGroup, an affiliate of W.R Berkley Corporation and a NYSE listed Fortune 500 company.

2006

Atlantic Aero opens a 9,000 square foot dedicated cabinet and upholstery facility.

2005

Atlantic Aero becomes a major outsource maintenance facility for FlexJet on Challenger 300's, Challenger 604's, Learjet 60's, Learjet 45's and Learjet 40's. Maintenance work includes cabinet and upholstery refinishing. Aero Modifications & Consulting, LLC becomes the Engineering / R & D department of Atlantic Aero.

2004

Mid-Atlantic Freight, a sister company of Atlantic Aero, merges with Martinaire, Inc. to form a new company named Martinaire Partners, LLC.
Atlantic Aero opens a new aircraft cabinetry shop.

2003

Atlantic Aero opens a 14,000 square foot dedicated manufacturing facility for STC and PMA parts.
Atlantic Aero opens a new aircraft seat and upholstery facility.

2000

Atlantic Aero completes construction of a 35,000 square foot engineering facility including hangar and office space.

1997

After a three year process, Atlantic Aero receives DAS (Designated Alteration Station) certification. This authorization allows Atlantic Aero to make major modifications to aircraft with little direct involvement from the FAA during the process. Atlantic Aero is the seventh DAS to be awarded in the history of the FAA Southern Region.

1993

Atlantic Aero forms Aero Modifications and Consulting, LLC (AMC). AMC was formed to apply new technology to existing general aviation aircraft in order to improve safety, efficiency and value.

1987

Atlantic Aero establishes Mid-Atlantic Freight, Inc. (MAF), a small package freight company. MAF primarily operates Cessna Caravans and accumulates over 150,000 flight hours - over 25,000,000 miles.

1984

Atlantic Aero management participates in the formation of Questair, Inc. with the goal to develop, build and manufacture a high performance, 275 mph, two place, single engine, experimental kit airplane called the Venture.

1982

A small R & D company (Godwin Aircraft, Inc.) is formed to look at the possibility of improving general aviation aircraft. A relationship is developed with the Aeronautical Engineering Program at North Carolina State University.

1977

Atlantic Aero is the first company in the region to offer corporate jet charter and management utilizing the Learjet.

1972

Atlantic Aero moves into a new facility at KGSO.

1971

Atlantic Aero was formed by a local investment group with John Godwin as President.
